Contemporary decor means clean lines, minimalist design, simple sophistication, and matte and brushed finishes. Perfect for those who like an industrial, urban look, valuing design above all else. Enlarge the kitchen toward the dining room, add more counter space, create more storage with a central island and integrate areas to display decorative items – this was our mandate for clients in LaSalle.
We created a piece that runs all around the kitchen as well as a decorative sideboard for an enlarged effect. For storage, we employed smart solutions to make everyday task easier, like a pull-out spice rack, sliding pantry shelves and bins for the garbage and recycling. We chose high-gloss acrylic in the color Gabbiano and quartz counters to pull the contemporary look together. The hardwood floor was retained and restored. – Designer: Mélanie Gagnon
